Lexi had a math test on Thursday. They were doing simple addition and subtraction. I think she was kind of nervous about it. The worksheet she brought home to practice with made her pretty anxious. She did half the subtraction problems as addition ones - and got them right, if they really were additions. When we talked through what the minus sign meant, though, she knew and I gave her a way to handle the problems that seemed to help. She said she did fine on the test; I am sure she did.
I sure don't remember doing this much math in kindergarten - I think all we did was counting.
