The word is spreading
The word has gotten out at church that we are expecting a baby. Several people have come up and congratulated me. Stephen feels a bit left out by that – he certainly had a part in this and would like to be congratulated also. At work, I am regularly asked how I am feeling. I get pretty tired of answering that question – no matter how I am feeling! Some of the members of the choir I am in know as well; the woman who gives me a ride home after rehearsal is always talking about my ‘bump’ (as in “would you and your bump like a ride tonight?”). I think that is one of the funniest references I have heard yet.

How I am feeling

We are 4 months along now and I am feeling pretty good. The nausea is gone though I do find I have to eat fairly regularly (Stephen thinks I am eating a lot!) or I don’t feel well. My biggest ‘problem’ at the moment is that I am a stomach sleeper and my stomach is large enough that it feels uncomfortable to sleep on it! So I keep trying new positions – but haven’t found anything yet that lets me sleep easily through the night. The picture shown here is from the 16th. Stephen thinks if you know I am pregnant, you can tell; otherwise you really can’t. I certainly notice it – I find that I am rubbing or patting my stomach frequently.
